The abn Consortium - a&b social network is a consortium of (social and non-social) cooperatives founded thanks to the initiative of a number of social cooperatives in the Perugia region.

The areas covered by the activities of the Consortium via its members are: people-orientated services and the production of goods and services aimed at job placements.

With a subsidiary in Romania, they needed to periodically organise meetings, workgroups and Board meetings. These activities required not only time set aside for planning but also involved considerable costs for regular travel, without calculating the inherent risks.

For this purpose, the ABN Consortium chose Techgenia WebLive, a real-time collaborative tool that allows audio, video, documents and even your desktop sharing between multiple remote users, and commercial and marketing meetings, training sessions and Board meetings to be held directly from your workstation or from home without having to physically move.

The ABN Consortium also purchased Techgenia’s WebLive solution in OnDemand mode: this allows it to exploit the potential of WebLive without having to worry about installation, configuration and maintenance. The Web Conferencing service is accessible directly via the Web with no need to install or configure any hardware device: all that is needed is an Internet connection.

Using Techgenia WebLive, the ABN Consortium has managed not only to overcome obstacles related to distance, meeting planning times and the costs and risks of travel and transfers by increasing collaboration and communication, but, thanks to OnDemand mode, there is also no need to worry about maintenance or updating, which is managed directly or remotely by Techgenia staff.
