Rome, 6th April 2010 – Today Solgenia S.p.A. has signed the agreement for its direct participation in an industrial plan aimed to lead, under an Italian governance, glorious historical brands of the Information Technology such as Syntax and OiS (the former Olivetti Group) currently operating under the company name of GFI Italia (www.gfiitalia.it).
This company was the Italian branch of the French multinational GFI Informatique, one of the leading European companies in the IT sector that has started to focus its business core on the French and Spanish markets, by searching strategic partners to transfer its activity in those countries where the company operates.
GFI Italia currently operates in the Top & Large Account sector with a turnover for Software services of more than 40 million Euros and 350 employees, and boasts important participations in other IT companies.
In this operation Solgenia S.p.A. will play the role of industrial and governance coordinator, thus becoming part of an important context and creating a working team in the Information Technology with a turnover of more than 60 million Euros and 550 employees with an overspread presence through its own branches of Turin, Genoa, Milan, Vicenza, Bologna, Florence, Spoleto, Rome, Bari and Naples. The group also operates in the regions of Calabria and Sicily thanks to its significant participations in other subsidiaries.
